The Republic of China- Redeemable Notes Bearing the Portrait of Li Hongzhang, Beijing Notes and Republican Commemorative Redeemable Notes (1913)

In 1913, Bank of China re-issued the transformed Li Hongzhang redeemable notes as Bank of China redeemable notes for circulation in Zhili.

The Republic of China- Beijing Notes (1913)

In 1913, Bureau of the Engraving and Printing of Ministry of Finance printed one-yuan Beijing note, with the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest and the place name of Beijing printed on the front. However, this note was never issued.

The Republic of China- Republican Commemorative Redeemable Note

After usurping the success of the Revolution of 1911, Yuan Shikai created a republican commemorative redeemable note printed by Bureau of the Engraving and Printing of Ministry of Finance in 1913 for the purpose of winning hearts and minds in the name of republicanism and national unity. The note was awarded on the Panama International Exposition in 1915, the only commemorative banknote ever issued by Bank of China.
