| Basic Introduction: In March 1985, Bank of China Zhuhai Branch, located in the coastal Special Economic Zone, established Zhuhai Credit Card Co., Ltd., China's first credit card company , and launched China's first credit card "Bank of China Card". Usage limited in Zhuhai, the card was issued in a relatively small amount. |
| Card Face Description: On the upper left corner of the card is a pattern of the spade coin from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period, with Chinese characters "Bank of China" written in Xiaozhuan, a style of Chinese calligraphy. The upper one-third of the card features a red background and a white horizontal belt dividing the card into two parts. The lower part of the card is in the color of silver (gold on the Gold Card), with the card number and period of validity but without the cardholder's name option. This design of Bank of China card later became a standard followed by many card issuing banks. |
