Term all-in-one account

Introduction

1. Lump-sum deposit and withdrawal term deposits and call deposits in RMB for various terms;

2. Lump-sum deposit and withdrawal term deposits and call deposits in up to 11 foreign currencies for various terms: USD, EUR, JPY, HKD, GBP, CAD, AUD, CHF, SGD, MOP (limited to Guangdong Province only),KRW(limited to Jilin Province only); and cash and spot currency deposit in foreign currency can be handled;
3. After the account is linked to a Great Wall Debit Card, the customer can handle relevant transactions over the counter using the debit card only, and can apply for telephone banking service, online banking transfer, and enquiry services;

4. Wai Hui Bao transaction (excluding Tibet).

Target Customers

The PRC residents, residents of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, expatriates residing in and outside the PRC, Chinese of foreign nationality and overseas Chinese all can open term deposit accounts with Bank of China against valid identity documents approved by the real-name system.

Process

The customer goes through relevant procedures at the counter of any branches of Bank of China with relevant identity documents.

Required Identity Documents

1. The PRC residents

The PRC residents at the age of 16 and above should present resident ID cards/temporary ID cards.

As for the PRC residents under the age of 16, their guardians shall open personal bank account on their behalf and should submit valid identity documents of the guardians as well as the resident ID cards or Hukou books of the account holders (if the foregoing documents cannot effectively prove the guardianship between the guardians and the account holders, the guardians should submit valid guardianship certificate at the same time).

Soldiers and armed police who haven't applied for resident ID cards can present military ID cards and armed police ID cards. Overseas Chinese with Chinese nationality residing in or outside PRC may present China passports.

2. Residents of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan

Residents of Hong Kong and Macau special administrative regions should present re-entry permits. Taiwan residents shall present mainland travel permit or other valid travel passes.

3. Foreign nationals

They shall present passports or permanent residence permits for expatriates (frontier residents shall present their passports or the frontier resident's entry-exit certificate issued by their home country).

Kind Reminder

No matter whether you deposit foreign currencies at the time of account opening, you can deposit or remit foreign currencies into the account thereafter.
