The Asia Tour concert of the China NCPA Orchestra, exclusively titled-sponsored by Bank of China and co-organized by Art Troupe of Macau University of Science and Technology, has been successfully held at The Venetian Theatre on November 1, 2013. Being named "Beauty of China - Show the World" to symbolize not only the liveliness of western music, but also the gracefulness of the Chinese classical music, the concert has brought exquisite enjoyment to audiences in Macau.

Under the baton of Maestro Lu Jia, the Beethoven Symphony No. 6 in F major Opus 68 - "Pastorale", Mozart - Overture to Don Giovanni, K. 527 and the famous Chinese Violin Concerto "Butterfly Lovers" composed by He Zhanhao and Chen Gang were played.
Led by the famous violinist Mr. Lu Siqing, the Violin Concerto "Butterfly Lovers" received many compliments. Often being called a "rare genius", Mr. Lu was the first oriental violinist to be award the Gold Medal in Paganini International Violin Competition - one of the most important violin competitions in the world. He played the melody of Butterfly Lovers so beautifully that every bowing of the string has seemed like an invisible hand leading the audiences to submerge themselves into the romantic story and feel the love and sadness of the lovers. When the concerto were finished, the audiences gave a thunderous standing ovation for the orchestra to show their respect for the music, their appreciation for the outstanding performance of the artists and a heartfelt welcome to the China NCPA Orchestra for their revisiting Macau.

Since the response of the audiences were overwhelming with long thunderous applause, Mr. Lu Siqing played 2 encores - Vittorio Monti's Czardas and AntonioVivaldi's The Four Seasons: Summer. The melodies lingered long after the concert finished and left the audiences amazed by the caliber of his musicianship.
The concert has been a huge success. Through this special event, the artists of the two places, Beijing and Macau, have had an opportunity to work together and explore in-depth in arts, and to foster cultural exchanges between the two places. The next stop of the Asia Tour would be Taipei.
