Position Title: Credit Analyst– Risk Management Department

Location: Head Office, Markham

Report to: VP of Risk Management Department

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze financial and economic information related to the Bank’s portfolio and related industries to assess the Bank’s credit risk exposures;
• Maintain the Bank’s retail/commercial credit system, risk rating system and compliance review;
• Prepare the Bank’s periodic reports regarding the Bank’s credit risk exposure to Senior Management, Headquarter and regulators;
• Conduct the effective monitoring of the Bank’s Portfolio through the use of individual assessments, internal and external reporting;
• Use the relevant information to test covenants, margin and financial ratio requirements and promptly report out of order or non-compliant situations of assigned accounts;
• Conduct due diligence, credit analysis on new and existing relationships to as assigned to monitor the credit risk exposures;
• Support account managers in regard of credit risk policies and products;
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Specification

• 1 year or above local commercial credit experiencing in the field of credit lending;
• Relevant post-secondary education with Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Accounting ,Finance or Economics;
• High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications, VBA programming and SQL programming skills are definite assets;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work accurately within deadlines;
• Adaptability and flexibility to deal with a rapidly changing environment;
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
