Bank of China Sydney (BOCS) is one of Bank of China's key overseas institutions. Originally established more than seventy years ago during World War Two, BOCS resumed operations in 1985 with the Bank of China (Australia) Limited established in 2005.

Currently, BOCS is in 14 locations with more than 500 employees in five states across Australia. One of the top foreign banks in Australia in terms of asset size, BOCS is the oldest operating Chinese bank in Australia and is the only Chinese bank in Australia to provide both corporate and personal financial services. In November 2014, the People's Bank of China designated BOCS as an RMB clearing bank.
