Green Deposit (2023) (Expired)

Bank of China Limited, Sydney Branch (“Bank”) proactively promotes green and sustainable development.

To support this objective, the Bank plans to issue the Bank of China Sydney Branch’s 2023 Green Deposit (“Deposit”) for Corporate Customers and Financial Institution customers.

The Deposit will be issued in accordance with the Green Bond Principals 2021 published by International Capital Market Association and the Common Ground Taxonomy - Climate Change Mitigation (updated) released by the International Platform on Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Working Group that was co-chaired by the EU and China.

Funds from the Deposit will be used to support the Bank’s lending to renewable energy and clean transport projects that promote a low-carbon, climate-resilient and sustainable economy. An assurance report on pre-issuance of the Deposit has been obtained from Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP.

Due to the limited total green deposit pool, applications will adhere to a ‘first come first served’ policy. The application process will be closed once deposit pool has been fully allocated.

The Deposit scheme will be updated periodically. The Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the above products, services and offers, and to amend the relevant terms at its sole discretion.
