Authenticity Verification Service for Bank Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit
Service Description
The Bank of China Limited, Sydney Branch ABN 29 002 979 955 (hereinafter referred to as ‘our bank’) provides an authenticity verification service for beneficiaries holding a Bank Guarantee or a Standby Letter of Credit (hereinafter referred to as "Bank Guarantee/SBLC") by our bank.
Verification Process
To initiate the verification process, the beneficiary must submit a verification request through their company’s bank account by sending an authenticated SWIFT message to our bank. Our SWIFT CODE is: BKCHAU2SXXX. The message should include the details of the Bank Guarantee/SBLC requiring verification, including but not limited to the Bank Guarantee/SBLC number, Bank Guarantee/SBLC currency and amount, issuing institution name and address, applicant name and address, warrantee (if it is different with applicant) name and address, beneficiary name and address, issuance date, expiry date, and total number of pages , etc.
In case of special circumstances, please call our customer service at +61 8871 5876 / 5823. Our bank will promptly respond with whether the service can be processed and provide the specific procedure.
Verification Result Notification
Upon receiving a verification request via SWIFT from the beneficiary’s account bank, our bank will respond within 3 business days via authenticated SWIFT message.
Our bank will not send replies via personal employee email or provide verbal confirmation relating to the authenticity of Bank Guarantee/SBLC.
