Position: Deputy Manager
Report to: Department head
Responsibilities
- Monitor fundamental economic and financial environment to analyze the bank’s market risk profile and to develop countermeasures to manage the bank’s market risk exposures;
- Generate and analyze data /key performance metrics, including price, yield, stability, as well as economic influences and conditions;
- Produce business/industry forecasts to assist and support business decisions making;
- Prepare periodic financial performance assessment of the bank, and conduct competitive analysis;
- Conduct capital management such as ICAAP and liquidity stress test according to Basel and OSFI requirements;
- Conduct interest rate risk management according to OSFI and the parent bank’s requirements;
- Prepare and periodically review business budget and strategic plans; and, assist management in monitoring its progress;
- Manage capital expenditures and fixed assets investment;
- Responsible for full cycle accounting at the Bank and ensure that all practices comply with the requirements from OSFI and meet the regulation policies of the Parent Bank.
Qualification
- Relevant post-secondary education with a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics. Professional designations such as CPA, ACCA are assets.
- A minimum of three years financial management experience and three year accounting experience;
- Sound knowledge of accounting practices;
- Sound knowledge of IFRS or GAAP;
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting related applications. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work accurately within deadlines;
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
