Position Title: Assistant HR Generalist/HR Generalist
Location: Markham Head Office
The Assistant HR Generalist is closely involved in a variety of responsibilities providing HR services such as assisting with processing of payroll and benefit, HR administration, training development, health and safety and recruitment etc.
Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in HR related fields with a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience
- CHRP designation (or currently working towards), PCP is desired
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform well in a team environment
- Precision and close attention to detail
Responsibilities
Payroll
- Maintenance of HRIS (ADP) systems: entering new employees, issuing system ID, and updating employee information, etc, and ensure data integrity
- Collection and consolidation of payroll information for each pay period update
- Ensuring timely payroll processing and transmission according to pre-set schedule
- Preparing monthly departmental allocation to Financial Management Department
- Completing all Year End payroll operations
- Maintenance of payroll records and taxation statements & records
- Communication with external audit
HR Administration
- Administration & Documentation of staff changes, including pay changes, promotions, terminations, internal transfers etc.
- Assist internal customers with benefits, orientation, and employment status change
- Advise managers and employees on the interpretations of HR policies, benefit programs
- Assist with the employee performance appraisal program
- Assist Recruiting/ Occupational Health and Safety, as necessary (new hire orientations, safety talks, interview coordination)
- Complete employment and payroll verifications
- Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reporting to Beijing Head Office
- Organize personnel files and other HR related records
- Administration of staff vacation / leave of absence record
