Job Title: IT Support specialist
Job Location: Bank of China (Canada), Head Office, Markham, ON
Main Duties:
- Conduct Intel Servers installation, upgrade and maintenance, SAN/Netopp storage configuration, PC OS/hardware configuration, upgrade and maintenance.
- Experience in using MS AD Tools to maintain and deploy user applications, Group Policies, shared folder ACL to security access rights for all user accounts.
- Hands on experience on desktop OS, PC application installation and configuration, such as Windows 7 and Windows 8, MS office 2013 suite, Symantec Endpoint, Outlook etc. Experience on print server setup and configuration, Windows WSUS and Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Server is preferred.
- Provide onsite and remote on-call technical support, troubleshooting software/hardware issues, in house or 3rd party application issues, such as Lotus Notes, Access, Excel, MS Word, SQL Advantage, VPN Remote Access Connection, Proxy server connections Etc.
- Coordinating and participating in related IT projects or other tasks assigned by the Company.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, excellent oral and written communication skill is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge and over 5 years’ experience on MS-Active directory and Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 Server, exchange 2010 servers.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in Information Technology Service support with proficient trouble shooting skills on Windows Operating System, Anti-virus Software with Symantec and MacAfee, Software, and Personal Computer hardware issues.
- Good knowledge and extensive experience in Data Migrate, Backup and Recovery (local and remote) strategy and implementation.
- Good knowledge and experience in different scales of projects deployment.
- Excellent experience with team work and project management skills.
- Good knowledge and experience in Windows Networking, LAN/WAN devices, and Cisco/Huawei routers.
- Good knowledge and experience with Xerox, HP printer configuration and Print servers.
- Good knowledge and sense in Information Security.
Certifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related areas
- MCSE in Windows Server, CCNA is preferred.
Skills:
- Computer Hardware: Dell HP and IBM Lenovo Servers and PCs, laptops, printers and scanners; Cisco networking equipment.
- Computer Software: MS- Active Directory, Exchange 2010 servers. Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 Server, VMware vSphere, Windows 7, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet Explore.
- Project Management: IT related Project Management knowledge, skills and experiences
Language and Others:
- Detail-oriented, hard-working, and have a strong sense of responsibilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Team player
