Compliance Manager (Jul 2018)

Location: Bank of China (Canada) Head Office, Markham, ON

Reporting To: AVP, Legal & Compliance Department

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement OSFI E-13 Regulatory Compliance Management Program ( RCM);
• Manage RCM tool as 2nd line of defense and roll out to 1st line of defense;
• Manage RCM program planning, execution, reviewing, testing and reporting;
• Document and mapping controls, identify control gaps and recommend action plans;
• Partner with process owners in the establishment and on-going assessment of controls;
• Maintain RCM process documentation (policies, procedures, narratives and control matrices, etc.);
• Track and monitor controls, gaps, remediation and action plans, communicate to management;
• Provide training and coaching to first line of defense about the program and tools;
• Generate and tracking reports such as program status report, controls report, gap and remediation report;
• Act as liaison between business lines, Compliance and Internal Audit;
• Perform other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant internal controls, testing and compliance experience in the Canadian Banking Industry;
• Banking RCM, SOX, Ethidex, project management skills preferred;
• Familiarity with OSFIE-13, AML, Bank Act, Privacy and CASL regulations;
• Ability to work in a timeline driven environment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
