Notice Regarding Discontinuance of Cash Services at Bank of China (Canada) Vancouver Branch (12.21)
Dear Clients at Bank of China (Canada) Vancouver Branch,
Starting on December 21, 2026, Bank of China (Canada) (“the Bank”) will discontinue the Cash services at the Vancouver branch due to a business decision. In this regard, we provide you the details as follows:
1.The Types of Cash Services to Be Discontinued
All cash services currently provided to you by Bank of China (Canada) Vancouver Branch, including: cash deposit, cash withdrawal, cash remittance, cash exchange, cash and small currency exchange.
2.Arrangement for Current Cash Services
Bank of China (Canada) Vancouver Richmond Branch
After December 20, 2026, you could visit our Vancouver Richmond Branch for cash services, or
Other local banks
You could use other local banks in the area for cash service.
E-transfer and Issuance of Bank Draft/certified cheque
We will provide you with fast e-transfer and bank draft services or certified cheque, enabling you to access cash at other local bank branches.
3.Public Consultation
The Bank will hold consultation and public engagement activities at the Vancouver Branch with the affected clients in order to be transparent. We would provide an explanation and address any customer concerns. These include:
- Branch Manager Meet Day on the last Friday in each month from August 21, 2026 until December 20, 2026, by appointment.
- In-branch Information Discussions with briefing by Customer Service Representatives offered on the last Friday in each month from August 21, 2026 until December 20, 2026.
- Extended Office Hours Consultations and Inquires by Vancouver branch staff on duty, available from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm after branch business hours on last Friday of each month from August 21, 2026 until December 20, 2026.
- Public Consultation Meeting at Vancouver Branch with all interested members of the community and interested parties on September 18, 2026, to exchange views about the proposed discontinuance of retail service.
