Service Description

We offer authentication services for beneficiaries holding a Letter of Guarantee / Standby Letter of Credit ("LG/SBLG") issued by Bank of China (Canada) (our "Bank"), any affiliate of the BOC group or other financial institutions in the form of a letter.

Application Method

1.The beneficiary can send an authenticated SWIFT via their corporate bank account with another financial institution to our Bank (SWIFT Code: BKCH CATT) for authentication purposes. The SWIFT message should contain sufficient details of the LG/SBLG, including but not limited to, reference number, name of the issuing financial institution, amount, total number of pages, LG/SBLG number, name of the applicant, name of the beneficiary and the validity period.

Note: Sufficient details enable us to verify the authenticity of the result.

2.The beneficiary can also bring along the original LG/SBLG, valid identification documents, and relevant corporate authorization documents to request for authentication service at our Bank’s counter.

Authentication Results Notification Method

1.For enquiries related to authenticated SWIFT via SWIFT escrow messages, our Bank will reply in the same way within three business days.

2.For applications submitted through our Bank’s counter, the result will be provided in the form of a letter signed by our Bank’s authorized signatory. It will be delivered either via our Bank’s counter or sent through registered/courier mail.

Our Bank will not send you the result verbally or by letter without our Bank’s authorized signatory, nor will it be sent through the personal email accounts of our Bank’s employees.
