Safety Deposit Boxes

Product Description 

Customers may rent our safety deposit boxes to keep their valuable items and documents secure. Also you may designate another person to access your safety deposit box on your behalf by signing an authorization form at our bank in advance. The safety deposited box services are only available during our business hours. All of branches in GTA and Vancouver Richmond Branches provide safety deposit box services. 

Fee

The rental fee must be paid in advance on an annual basis. For details of sizes of boxes and rental fees, please contact the branch in your neighborhood. The tenant is allowed to terminate the Leasing Agreement at any time. However, the rental fee is only refundable if terminated within the first 6 months period on a pro-rata basis subject to the tenant's surrendering the two keys to the bank that is under the customer's custody. 

Target Customer

All customers with or without BOCC accounts are welcome. We suggest customers to open a bank account for more convenient rental payment.

Process

The customer goes through relevant procedures at any branches of Bank of China (Canada) with relevant identity documents.

Required Identity Documents

Two pieces of ID required when open the account, one must be a photo ID (e.g. passport, permanent residence card, citizenship card, or valid driver’s license issued from Canadian governments and etc.)
