Service Description

For beneficiaries holding paper-based guarantees or standby letters of credit (hereinafter referred to as "paper-based guarantees/SBLC") issued by Bank of China Limited Geneva Branch (the “Bank”, “we”), we provide an authenticity verification service.

Application Methods

1.SWIFT Authenticated Message Verification

The beneficiary may request verification by sending a SWIFT authenticated message through their corporate account opening bank to the Bank.

Our SWIFT CODE: BKCHCHGE.

The message should include the details of the paper-based guarantee/SBLC requiring verification, including but not limited to:

• Reference number
• Issuing institution
• Amount
• Number of pages
• Document number (if applicable)

Note: Providing sufficient information will facilitate the verification process.

2.Counter Submission for Verification

The beneficiary may appoint an authorized representative to submit a verification request at our bank’s counter by providing the following documents:

• Original copy of the paper-based guarantee/SBLC
• Valid identification document
• Corporate authorization letter

Notification Methods for Verification Results

1.SWIFT Authenticated Message Reply

For verification requests received via SWIFT authenticated messages from the beneficiary's account bank, we will respond with a SWIFT authenticated message within 15 working days.

2.Counter Delivery or Mailing of Results

For verification requests submitted at the counter, we will provide the verification results in a signed reply by an authorized signatory. The results will be delivered through one of the following methods:

• Handed over to the authorized representative at the counter
• Sent to the beneficiary via registered mail or courier

Note: The Bank will not send unsigned replies via employees' personal email addresses, nor will we provide verbal confirmations regarding the authenticity of paper-based guarantees/SBLCs.

Fee Schedule

A fee of CHF 100.00 will be charged for each guarantee verification service.

Additional courier fees will apply if mailing is required.

Relevant fees will be collected at the time of submitting the service request.
