We sincerely invite athletes from around the globe to join this world’s top-tier running event. Registration for international participants is now open. We will provide a seamless entry process and a suite of exclusive privileges, endeavoring to deliver an unforgettable race experience.
Wuhan Marathon is hosted by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, co-organized by Wuhan Municipal Sports Bureau and Wuhan Culture Tourism Group Co., Ltd., and operated by Wuhan Sports Development and Investment Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Hanma Sports Management Co., Ltd.
Since its debut in 2016, the race was widely praised for its exceptional organization, high-quality services, and the unique charm of the city itself, and recognized as the event with the most communication influence. Following the route that spans “one city, two rivers, three towns, four bridges, and five lakes”, the iconic Cherry Blossom Course connects landmarks such as Jianghan Road, the Yangtze River Bridge, and the East Lake Greenway, earning its reputation as one of the most scenic marathon routes. In 2025, the number of applicants surpassed 450,000, setting a new record for marathon registration in Asia.
Standing at a new starting point, Wuhan Marathon carries a renewed mission: to showcase China’s urban dynamism and further propel the growth of road running. On March 22, 2026, 30,000 runners from across the world will gather once again to measure the beauty of the city with their footsteps and feel the pulse of speed and passion along the cherry-lined streets. With elevated event standards and more heartfelt services, this year Wuhan Marathon aspires to become a benchmark race that embodies the spirit of Wuhan—known as China’s “Hero City”—and highlights the progress of China’s sports development, allowing runners worldwide to experience Wuhan’s cultural depth and urban dynamism while fostering cultural exchange and high-quality urban development.
Bank of China is committed to building a distinctive and human-centered “Sports + Finance” brand. For four consecutive years, we have proudly served as the event’s title sponsor, using sport as a bridge to deeply connect the heritage of the Dual-Olympics Bank with the spirit of Wuhan.
Promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering cultural exchange has always been our enduring mission. Amid the spring breeze and blooming cherry blossoms, Bank of China continues to support runners worldwide with robust financial backing and comprehensive services—helping them push beyond limits and create unforgettable memories along the course.
