Yangzhou, an ancient city nourished by the Grand Canal for thousands of years,extends a springtime invitation to run through its historic charm. In theblossoming month of March, this race links the city's cultural splendor acrosstime and unfolds a route where sports and culture meet.

Founded in 2006, the Yangzhou Half Marathon is hosted by the YangzhouMunicipal People's Government, guided by the Jiangsu Provincial SportsBureau,and operated by China Olympic Road Running Co.,Ltd.

Since its inception, the event has remained committed to professionalism and excellence. It has earned the WorldAthletics Gold Label for eleven consecutive years and,in 2026, was elevated to a World Athletics Platinum Labelevent-one of only four Platinum Label marathons in China, Today,it stands as one of Jiangsu Province's highest-level,most long-standing,and most influential road-running events.

Blending Yangzhou's profound historical heritage with its graceful natural and cultural landscapes,the course passesiconic landmarks such as Slender West Lake,Daming Temple,the Ancient Canal,and Wenchang Pavilion.The city'spicturesque spring scenery,together with its enduring cultural legacy,creates what runners deeply appreciate as a "poeticracecourSe."

In2025,the event reached a record 93,859 registrations,with a completion rate of 99.52%.In2026,marking both the 20thanniversary of the event and its inaugural year as a Platinum Label race, BANK OF CHINA YANGZHOU HALF MARATHON 2026 will further integrate the culural depth of the Grand Canal and continue to enhance its "Sports tCullure & Tourism + Consumption" model. With higher standards and warmer services,the event wil welcome runnersfrom around the world,ensuring that every run becomes a journey to experience China and converse with history.

Course Highlights
The race course runs through both the old and new parts of Yangzhou, passing majorcultural and scenic landmarks including Slender West Lake, Daming Temple, and theAncient Canal Scenic Belt.

Eligibility
Athletes must be at least 18 years old in the year of the race (born before 1 January 2008). Athletes aged 65 years or above (born before 1 January 1961) shall strengthen self-assessment of their health conditions and must submit a Participation Commitment Letter jointly signed by the athlete and family members (family members include spouse, parents, adult children, or other adult close relatives living together).
