Founded in 1981, it is China’s first official marathon event with a heritage of more than 40 years.
The classic route starts from Tian’anmen Square and ends at the Landscape Avenue of Beijing Olympic Park, passing through core urban areas of Beijing. It allows global runners to experience the unique charm of Beijing, a historic and cultural city and the world’s first Dual-Olympic City.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirement All athletes must be at least 20 years old in the year of participation.
Any athlete aged 65 or above shall strengthen their self-assessment of health status, and shall submit a Participation Commitment signed by themselves and their family members.
Performance Requirement To register for the Bank of China Beijing Marathon 2026, athletes shall have 1 marathon result or 2 half marathon results within 24 months before the registration deadline (results from online events are not accepted).
