Living Wage Accreditation
We’re delighted to announce that Bank of China (New Zealand) Ltd is an accredited Living Wage Employer, effective from 22 June 2020.

The Living Wage is the hourly rate a worker needs to pay for life’s necessities and actively participate in the community. It reflects the basic expenses of workers and their families such as food, transportation, housing and childcare. It is calculated independently, each year, by the New Zealand Family Centre Social Policy Unit.
The move means all direct employees of the bank are paid no less than the current living wage, and all indirectly paid workers employed by contractors delivering a service to the bank on a regular and on-going basis, are also paid no less than the current living wage.
We’re excited to be making this step and proud to be doing something that is good for our people as well as those delivering a service to us.
