Letter of Credit or Standby Letter of Credit Verification Service
Service Description
For letter of guarantee or standby letter of credit issued in the form of a letter by the Bank of China Limited Karachi Branch or Islamabad Branch, our bank offers verification services.
Application Requirements
1.Verification via SWIFT Message: The beneficiary can send a SWIFT message through their corporate bank to our bank for verification. Our bank’s SWIFT code is: BKCHPKKAXXX. The SWIFT message should include key details for verifying the authenticity of letter of guarantee or standby letter of credit , including but not limited to the type of guarantee, applicant, LG number, issuing institution, amount, issue date, expiry date, etc.
2.Verification via Counter: The beneficiary can appoint an authorized person to submit the original or copy of letter of guarantee or standby letter, physical verification request, along with valid identification and a company authorization letter at our bank’s counter.
3. Verification via Mail: The beneficiary can mail the physical letter of guarantee or standby letter verification request to the Karachi branch or Islamabad branch. The application should include the key details for verifying the authenticity , including but not limited to the type of guarantee, applicant, LG number, issuing institution, amount, issue date, expiry date, etc.

Notification of Verification Result
1.For application submitted via SWIFT message from the beneficiary’s bank, our bank will respond with a SWIFT message within 5 business days.
2.For application submitted at the counter, our bank will respond with a letter signed by an authorized person. The reply will be delivered to the beneficiary either in person or by registered mail/express courier.
3.For application submitted by mail, our bank will respond with a letter signed by an authorized person. The reply will be mailed to the beneficiary by registered mail or express courier.
Our bank will not send unsigned letters from individual employee email accounts, nor will it verify the authenticity of the Letter of Credit/Standby Credit verbally.
