Dear Customers,
According to the information published on the official website of the Bank of England《PRA confirms FSCS deposit limit to be increased to £120,000 from 1 December》, we would like to draw the special attention from Non Personal Accounts to the following: the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) will increase the deposit protection limit under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) from £85,000, which has been in place since 2017, to £120,000 effective from 1 December 2025, to protect depositors’ funds in the event that a bank, building society or credit union fails.
We have also updated the content of the <Financial Services Compensation Scheme> (FSCS) and <Financial Services Compensation Scheme-Information sheet and Exclusion List>:The £120,000 limit applies to the total deposits held by an eligible Non Personal Accounts with the same bank, including their share of any joint accounts, rather than each separate account being protected up to this limit individually. Non Personal Accounts including corporates (regardless of size unless falling under any other exclusion) and small local authorities – are covered by the scheme.
For further information regarding the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), including details on compensation amounts and eligibility, you can visit the FSCS website at www.fscs.org.uk or read the guide <How FSCS Protects Your Money - A guide to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (version 1.0)>.
