On 6th February 2012, the 48 Group Club held the 2012 ‘Icebreakers’ Chinese New Year Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The Group’s Chairman Mr. Stephen Perry and Chinese Ambassador Mr. Xiaoming Liu attended the event and delivered their speeches. The dinner party attracted over 200 senior executives from Sino-UK corporations such as Bank of China, KPMG, CBBC and Cathay Pacific, etc.
The 48 Group Club KPMG China awards were presented at the dinner. There were five awards sponsored by KPMG, including Golden British Award, Golden Chinese Award, Special Award, Dragon Centennial Award and Icebreaker Award.
Bank of China was awarded the “Dragon Centennial Award” for its success in establishing its representation in the UK and EU as well as to mark the 100th anniversary of the bank. Chief Operating Officer Mr. Stephen Hinds collected the award.
