Term Deposit Account
Introduction
Term deposit account is a type of savings deposit with fixed deposit period. Three deposit term of three months, six months and one year are available.
Features
1. Currency types including USD, RMB, ZMW and so on;
2. Automatic renewal at maturity and early full/partial withdrawal allowed;
3. Online banking service available;
4. Higher interest rate than that of current deposit;
5. No account management fee.
Target Customers
Customers with surplus money in short tern can open the account with valid identity documents.
Procedure
Customers who have accounts with the bank can apply for the term deposit account of corresponding currency to make deposit, no other procedures required;
New customers need to open an account with valid identity documents and can make deposit after the bank identifying the application materials and relevant documents and opening the term deposit account of corresponding currency.
Required Identity Documents
1. For Zambia citizens: Zambia identity card and other valid identity documents.
2. For non-Zambia citizens (who live in Zambia): original copy of passport, residence permit within validity (including working permit)
