Bank of China Ulaanbaatar representative office held, on January 31, an inauguration ceremony, which made Bank of China the first Chinese-funded bank setting up representative office in Mongolia.
In 2012, BOC officially initiated the preparation of establishing Ulaanbaatar representative office, and obtained approval of establishment on December 18 and December 20, 2012 respectively from the Bank of Mongolia and Bureau of Foreign Investment of Mongolia.
Upon establishment, Ulaanbaatar representative office will focus on the investigation into and analysis of market in Mongolia, customer marketing and products promotion for the purpose of serving customers and economy and trade link of both countries by virtue of BOC’s internationalization and diversification advantages.
BOC will vigorously promote the setting up of operational organizations in Mongolia, which will provide both countries with quality financial services so as to support and enhance the development of economy and trade between the two countries.
Up to now, BOC overseas branches have presences in 36 countries in addition to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
