On 5-6 June, 2017, Bank of China will co-organize the “Tianjin (China) SME Cross-border Investment and Trade Cooperation Conference” with the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, to set up a platform for exchanges and cooperation between overseas and domestic SMEs. The “BOC Global SME Cross-border Matchmaking Service” has covered North America, Western Europe, Asia-Pacific and other developed countries and regions, as well as the countries along the “Belt and Road”. Up to now, BOC has successfully held 30 cross-border matchmaking activities for SMEs attended by more than 20,000 enterprises from over 70 countries and regions of the five continents, with over 5,000 cooperation proposals made and more than 2,000 cooperation agreements reached.
I. Main Contents
To be held in Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel on 5-6 June, 2017, the Conference will invite 100 overseas enterprises to have one-to-one business cooperation negotiations with nearly 500 domestic companies; matchmaking activities for equity investment and financing projects will be held to promote “Investment-Loan Linkage” policy; and inspection of industrial parks will also be arranged for clients with cooperation intentions on the second day. And video conferences will be arranged for enterprises that unable to attend personally.
II. Features of the Conference
The conference is aiming to promote trade cooperation between domestic and foreign customers by seizing the opportunities brought by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration initiative, the “Belt and Road” Initiative, the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone and national innovation demonstration zones; help domestic SMEs to expand international market, introduce advanced experiences and technologies, promote the transformation and upgrading of industries, and improve the international competitiveness; committed to building the “China-Europe Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park” and other high-end advanced manufacturing bases, promoting the transfer of new and high-tech enterprises and commercialization of major scientific and technological achievements; meeting the equity and bond financing needs of SMEs and sharing the policy advantages of Tianjin’s “Investment-Loan Linkage” policy.

IV. Expenses of the Conference
Some of the expenses of the foreign clients and their entourage, including airport pickup, conference fees, as well as accommodation, food and beverage costs during the Conference, will be covered by the organizer. For domestic clients, conference fees and working meals during the Conference will be covered by the organizer.
