Han Pengfei, only 14 years old, flew to Beijing from Tibet by himself. Due to long journey, he arrived at the camp one day in advance. Though the other camp members were still on their way, Han didn't feel lonely with warm reception of the summer camp staff. "It is the first time for me to take a flight. I am so excited and I wish the Olympic Games could start now," said the boy.

During the one-week event, campers will take part in many fantastic activities under the Olympic theme, such as visiting the Olympic Games venues, interacting with Olympic stars on site and enjoying other interesting and instructive activities, so as to get a better understanding of both Beijing and the Olympic Games. Moreover, the campers will also visit Tian'anmen Square, Beihai Park, Great Wall and other historic and cultural places, to learn history and culture of China and cultivate their national pride and patriotism. Representatives of the camp members expressed their good wishes towards the Olympic Games and hoped to contribute to Beijing Olympic Games as volunteers in 2008.
