On April 20, the day on which an earthquake hit Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, BOC made a quick decision to donate 5 million yuan in support of the area's quake relief.
Following a catastrophic magnitude-7.0 earthquake in Lushan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, BOC immediately launched the emergency mechanism by promptly organizing quake relief and making all-out efforts to provide financial services needed for quake relief.
BOC has a total of eight offices in Ya'an but no offices in Lushan, the quake epicenter. Up to now, there are is no casualties or heavy property losses.
All outlets of BOC Ya'an Branch have started the emergency response plan to ensure the normal operation of self-service equipment such as ATM, and proactively contacted customers to provide necessary support to fully satisfy victims' emergency financial demands.
