Users’ Guide on the Online Banking Corporate Services Adjustments

Dear Valued Online Banking Customers:

In order to better our customer services, Bank of China will perform system upgrade in early October, 2009. Part of the corporate online banking service functions related to the accounts opened in BOC Hebei Branch will be changed after the system upgrade. Please read the following descriptions to learn about the adjustments of online banking corporate services:

Part 1 Descriptions of Account Number Transition

After the system upgrade, the previous account numbers of the bank accounts opened at BOC Hebei Branch will be changed to new account numbers, which will be the only valid account numbers after Oct 9^th, 2009. In order to help corporate customers to adapt to the new account numbers, the online banking system will provide corporate customers with an account number transition period (between Oct 9^th, 2009 and Apr 2nd, 2010 ).

1. Fund transfer: During the transition period, you can continue to use the previous account numbers for online banking fund transfers. After the transition period, you have to use new account numbers for online banking transactions, but payee’s account number can be pervious account numbers.

2. Enquiries: please refer to the attachment for the detailed rules of online banking enquiries.

Part 2 Descriptions of the Adjustments to Online Banking Enquiry Functions

Enquiry result under Current Transactions Enquiry and Historical Transactions Enquiry will be temporarily unable to provide Reference information, including customer ref. No. and bank ref. No.. Enquiry result of domestic cross-bank remittance under Remittance Enquiry will also be unable to provide Reference information as well.

Part 3 Descriptions of available balance

After the system upgrade, the rules of available balance calculation will be different for the accounts opened at BOC Hebei Branch and the accounts opened at the other branches of BOC:

1. Available Balances for non-Hebei accounts: As for the accounts opened at BOC branches other than Hebei, available balance = current balance – frozen amount. If the available balance is a negative value, it means your account has been overdrawn, and the overdraft amount is the absolute value of available balance.

2. Available Balances for Hebei accounts: As for the account opened at BOC Hebei Branch, if no fund in your account has been frozen, available balance = current balance + available overdraft limit; if the fund in your account has been partly or totally frozen, available balance = current balance – frozen amount, and the available overdraft amount cannot be used for outward transfers.
