Personal Joint Account
Product Introduction
Customers can open a personal RMB demand account or time account at BOC, which is co-managed by 2-3 individual customers (who shall be at least 18 years old and have full capacity for civil conduct). The capital in the account can’t be handled without the presence of all joint customers, so that co-management can actually be achieved and the security of capital guaranteed. This product is especially suitable for those who need to co-manage capital together, such as husband and wife, parents and children, couples, business partners, etc.
Business Functions
1. 2-3 customers with the same nationality can apply for a joint account (customers from different countries can’t apply for the service; Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other regions are included) so that they can co-manage the deposit.
2. It provides the owner of the joint account with many deposit products such as demand deposit, lump-sum deposit & withdrawal, call deposit, time-demand optional deposit, time deposits by installments, and time deposit with regular interest withdrawal.
3. It provides the owner of the joint account with services such as opening an account, reporting the loss, freezing the account, reversing, replacing the account with a bankbook/registering the bankbook, changing account information, inquiring, revoking and cancelling the account. It also has the basic payment and settlement functions of RMB accounts such as depositing, withdrawing, transferring and remitting.
Charging Standard
The management fees can be deducted during promotion period. Please ask the customer manager at BOC outlets for more details.
Application Process
All applicants of a joint account shall hold their valid identity documents specified by the real-name registration system and make application together at counters in BOC outlets. Entrusting others as agents to apply for the service is not allowed.
Tips
1. A joint account is only provided with deposit receipt/bankbook without debit card.
2. The minimum amount of opening a joint account: RMB50,000 (included).
3. Services related to a joint account can only be applied for at BOC outlets.
