With an aim to help customers get more insights on global FX market in 2008, Bank of China Macau Branch held a seminar of “2008 Global FX Trend” at “Lotus Hall” on the 5th floor of World Trade Center on 1 March 2008.
Mr. Cheong Chi Sang, Deputy General Manager of Bank of China Macau Branch delivered the opening remark for the seminar. He stated that, with the ongoing objective of “Rooting in Macau and Servicing Macau”, Bank of China Macau Branch would continuously do its best to provide high quality efficient and innovative financial products and services to all customers. Facing the turbulences in the global financial market in 2008, this Seminar was specifically held for customers to analyze trends in FX market, especially hot issues on RMB. Hope it would be useful to everyone.
Following the opening remark, our honorable speaker Mr. Dai Dao Hua, Senior Economist of BOC Hong Kong made a presentation on the prospects of global economy in 2008. Mr. Sun Xiao Fan, Chief Dealer of BOC Head Office, who possessed extensive experiences in FX trading, analyzed the trends of RMB and FX market. Ms. Grace Ng, Deputy General Manager of Treasury Department of Bank of China Macau Branch, introduced the financial products and services provided by Bank of China Macau Branch. The speakers combined real examples in practical operation with most recent market trends for step-by-step explanation and in-depth analysis. Mr. Sun’s funny examples won a lot of clapping from the audiences.
The question-and-answer session received a very warm response from the audiences. The speakers used their professional knowledge and extensive experiences to answer their questions one by one. Lastly, our guests drew out five lucky audiences on behalf of BOC Macau to win five golden mice.
