Aim:
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Bank of China, a series of sporting activities has been organized so that we can share these joyous moments with members of the general public. Meanwhile, in order to contribute more to the cultural and sporting development in Macau, we would like to join with you all kind-hearted people out there, to show the world that one of the greatest elements of our culture is that we all care about each other and will work together for charity!
Name of the Event : “Joyous Run – BOC Climbing Stairs for Charity 2012” (“The Race”)

Maximum Number of Entrants(Men/Wemon) : Open Division – 400 people Financial Institution Division – 100 people University Division – 100 people (First comes first serves)
Entry Fee : MOP150 per person(All fees collected will be donated to the Supporters of this Race.)
How to enter :
1. Entry forms are available at Associacao de Atletismo de Macau at Macau Olympic Sports Centre or any sub-branches of Bank of China Macau Branch. Entry forms can also be downloaded at the website of Bank of China Macau Branch. Please fill out and submit the form together with a copy of your identity documents to Associacao de Atletismo de Macau (Office hours : 9:00-13:00, 14:30-18:00).
2. Entries to Men/Women Open Division will be restricted to Macau residents only. Entries to the Financial Institution Division will be restricted to staff members of financial institutions and monetary authorities of Macau only. Entrants of this division should provide copies of their staff IDs. Entries to University Division will be restricted to lecturers and students of colleges/universities in Macau only. Entrants of this division should also provide copies of their lecturer and student IDs.
3. Each participant may submit one entry form only. Entry form can be submitted by an authorized third person.

Race Route :
In front of BOC Square (Start) -- Praca Ferreira Amaral -- Avenida Comercial de Macau -- Avenida Panoramica do Lago Nam Van -- Rua Sul de Entre Lagos – Rua 25 de Abril – Praceta 25 de Abril -- Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen -- Avenida de Sagres -- Rua Cidade de Sintra -- Praca Ferreira Amaral -- Avenida Doutor Mario Soares (turn around) – make your way back to Bank of China Building to climb the stairs all the way up to the multi-functional room located at 33th floor (Finish).
Remarks : (1) Length for the running is 5000 sq. feet in total and 735 steps up the staircase of Bank of China Building. (2) The entrance to the staircase of Bank of China Building will be closed at 9 a.m., i.e. one hour after the running starts.
Prizes :
A souvenir will be awarded to all finishers;
whereas a trophy will be awarded to the fastest 8 Runners/Climbers of each division;
whereas a special gift will be awarded to the fastest 3 Runners/Climbers of each division.
Rules of the Race :
1. All Runners/Climbers must pin the race number in front of his/her shirt and run following the Race Route. Running before the starting signal, helping other runners run or running with the assistance of any other device not allowed. Breach of these rules will result in result of the Race being cancelled.
2. Participates not registered will not be allowed to enter the race. His/her result will not be recorded/recognized.
3. The sequences runners/climbers of each division cross the finish line will determine the sequences of winners of the race. Runners will be disqualified if he/she blocks or hinders other runners.
4. The host reserves the right to make the final decision on any conducts/behaviors suspected of breaching the rules of the race.
5. Breach of the rules of the race will result in disqualification and results cancelled.
6. Any objection to the result of the race should be raised within 30 minutes after crossing the finish line to any member of the committee of the Race.
7. Should there be any discrepancies or inconsistency between the Chinese and English version of these rules, the Chinese version shall prevail.
