Pursuant to the mission of "Rooted in Macau, Steadfast in Serving", Bank of China Macau Branch has proactively devoted to fulfill our social responsibility. Since 1997, in order to help the Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society to raise funds, all our sub-branches has spared some spaces to place the Tung Sin Tong Donation Boxes there to collect donations from the general public every year
Sometimes earlier, Mr. Lei Loi Tak and Mr. Lei Chi Fong, Vice-President and Member of the Executive Committee of Tung Sin Tong, visited BOC to pick up the funds raised by those Tung Sin Tong Donation Boxes. Both Mr. Lei Loi Tak and Mr. Lei Chi Fong were welcomed by Mr. Yip Sio Kai and Mr. Lao Chak Kong, Vice Presidents of BOC.
After counting, over MOP300,000 has been collected from the donation boxes placed at the 24 sub-branches of BOC. The total amount of fund raised through these boxes has been increasing gradually year after year and results were very encouraging. Representatives of Tung Sin Tong thanked BOC for helping to raise funds every year by placing the Tung Sin Tong Donation Boxes at the sub-branches and promised fund raised would be used to cover the operating cost and cost of charity programs for those needed locally.
To support charitable activities in Macau, BOC has developed purposely various donation channels for Tung Sin Tong to collect donation funds. Donors may simply go to the websiteof BOC "www.bocmacau.com" and login to BOCNET (Personal) to transfer donation funds there, or visit the BOC 24-hours Self-Service Banking Centers to donate via e-Express machines. All these convenient donation channels have been widely welcomed by our customers and the general public.
