Bank of China Macau Branch, Tai Fung Bank, Nam Tung (Macau) Investment Ltd. and the "Home of Bank of China" - an association organized by the retired staff members, jointly held the "BOC & TFB Staff Fun Day - Let's work together to build a happy home" at the gymnasium of Macao Polytechnic Institute on August 18. Staff members of each entity and their family members totaling over 3000 people participated. Through competing in the games, staff members got to know each other better and had a good time together.
The event was officiated at 2 p.m. jointly by Ms. Wang Lijie and Mr. Yip Sio-Kai, Deputy General Managers of Bank of China Macau Branch, Mr. Lai Chan-Keong, Consultant of Bank of China Macau Branch, Mr. Ho Ion-Sang, Director (Customer Relationship) of Bank of China Macau Branch, Mr. Chui Kai-Cheong, Mr. Fang Yanmin and Mr. Ao Ieong Iu-Kong, Vice Presidents of Tai Fung Bank, Mr. Chan Kim-Peng, Assistant President of Tai Fung Bank, Ms. Li Mei and Mr. Yang Hao, President and General Manager of Nam Tung (Macau) Investment Limited, Ms. Lao Soi-Ha and Ms. Kuong Pui-Chan, President and President-elect of The Home of Bank of China, Mr. Lao Chak-Kuong, President of the Recreation Club of Bank of China Macau Branch, Mr. Chan Hio-Peng, President of Bank of China Macau Youth Association.
Over 3000 staff members of the Bank of China Group and their families divided into 21 teams and competed in the fun games. Group wisdom emerges through contribution of individuals present. With careful planning, all teams competed with their best tactics and strategies for the 16 prizes, while their supporters yelled and screamed, cried out loud their team slogans and waved their team flags to cheer on their teams. The atmosphere was extraordinarily bustling and lively and fully displayed the personal charm and the spirit of unity and cooperation of the staff members of the Bank of China Group.
Mr. Ip Sio-Kai remarked during the opening ceremony that the Fun Day was a special event for all members of the Bank of China Group in Macau. Through competing in the games, friendship between all staff members would be promoted and all 3000 participants would have a happy time together. The Bank of China Group always encouraged all staff members to actively involve in the community. Through taking up various roles in the community, staff members further upgraded the professional quality and image. The group members would continue to provide quality banking services and devote much effort to help stabilizing the economy and financial market of Macau.
All games were finished in an intense and lively atmosphere. Prizes were delivered right after the games. Keeping in mind the principle of friendship first competition second, every team cheerfully congratulated the winning teams. Best of all, it was a the perfect ending to a perfect day.
