The “Beauty of China - Show the World” concert by China NCPA Orchestra exclusive titled sponsored by Bank of China

The “Beauty of China - Show the World” concert by China NCPA Orchestra, organized by National Centre for the Performing Arts (“NCPA”), exclusive titled sponsored by Bank of China, co-organized by Art Troupe of Macau University of Science and Technology, will be held at The Venetian Theatre on November 1, 2013. Details of the concert were announced at Press conference held on 3 pm, October 23, 2013 at the conference room located at 3/F, Bank of China Building.

Established on March 2010, China NCPA Orchestra has been the resident orchestra of NCPA. Following the stops in Singapore and Seoul, Macau is the 3rd stops of its Asia Tour. The next stop will be Taipei. Under the baton of its Principal Conductor, Maestro Lu Jia, who is also the Music Director of Macau Orchestra, and together with violinist Mr. Lu Siqing, the 1st one to be award the Gold Medal in Pagnini International Violin Competition – one of the most important violin competitions in the world, the famous violin concerto “Butterfly Lovers” will be played in the concert in Macau in addition to Don Giovanni Overture and Beethoven Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale”.

As revealed by Mr. Zhang Lin, Assistant Managing Director of China NCPA Orchestra, this concert in Macau has a special meaning. This would not only be a chance for the NCPA Orchestra to meet with the local cultural and art organizations in Macau, but also a chance to foster cultural exchanges between the two places, and to promote the corporation and in-depth exploration in arts. He hoped that their performance would provide enjoyable entertain for the audience in Macau, and add a little more color to the cadenzas composed by the two places. In the meantime, he thanked Bank of China for their titled sponsorship and continuous support for NCPA and the China NCPA Orchestra.

Mr. Chan Hio-Ping, Deputy General Manager of Bank of China Macau Branch, said in his speech that Bank of China, as an internationalized and a highly diversified commercial bank, has strived to promote the exchange of arts between China and the foreign countries. Starting from 2008, Bank of China has been the strategic partner of NCPA, and focused on providing a platform for the Chinese artists to show the world the fine arts of China. Having devoted much effort to promote the better development of culture and fine art, Bank of China Macau believed that the “Beauty of China – Show the World” concert of China NCPA Orchestra would be a wonderful musical experience for the residents of Macau, and wished the concert a great success!

At the end of the press conference, Ms. Zhang Jia-Ling, Director of Art Troupe of University of Science and Technology of Macau, said as an art group consisting mainly by students, it was great honor for the Art Troupe to be the co-organizer of the concert of the China NCPA Orchestra. She believed that being so closed to the maestros of the orchestra, the students would definitely take good pride while their knowledge in art appreciation would be greatly enhanced. Such a wonderful experience would surely be beneficial for the future of the students and in their pursuit of art. Art Troupe of MUST would certainly be working closely and whole heartedly with Bank of China Macau Branch for the organization and promotion of the concert.
