The Joyous Charity Tournament·Golfing with BOC - in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Macau Chamber of Commerce·Charity Dinner has been successfully held by Bank of China Macau Branch ("BOC") and Macau Chamber of Commerce ("MCC") jointly on December 9, 2013 with over 300 honorable guests participated. On behalf of the donors, the winners of the tournament presented the donation funds raised during the event totaling MOP4 million to various organizations for charity and social welfare purposes, including donations to Macau Chamber of Commerce, in response to the support of the Central Government, for the long term strategies of the SAR government to establish a service center for the small and medium enterprises of Portuguese speaking countries and to foster local talents, and to the Sport and Olympic Committee of Macau for setting up a Macau Outstanding Athletes Scholarship for athletes who have won glory for Macau.

The Charity Dinner was held at the Function Room of Conrad Hotel in Sands Cotai Central. Distinguished guests participated included Mr. Ho Hau-Wah, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Permanent Presidents of MCC, Mr. Tam Pak-Yuen, Secretariat for Economy and Finance of Macau SAR, Ms. Qiu Hong, Deputy Director General of the Central People's Government Liaison Office of Macao SAR, Mr. Hu Zheng-Yao, Commissioner of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Ho Iat-Seng, President of the Legislative Assembly of Macau, Mr. Ma Iao-Hang, President of the Sport and Olympic Committee of Macau and Mr. Zhang Lianwei, the Chinese number one golfer & etc.
Mr. Ye Yixin, General Manage of BOC, said in his speech that the fine humanism value of the residents of Macau for charity and social welfare has been the core element that kept Macau a wonderland and in harmony. Being the biggest commercial association, while kept promoting economic growth, MCC never forgot to serve the community and help the needy. In this regard, MCC had much in common with BOC that BOC has always been committed to balance revenue generation with social benefits. To take the opportunity of the 100th anniversary of MCC, we jointly hosted the Joyous Charity Tournament·Golfing with BOC - In Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Macau Chamber of Commerce, inviting business partners from the Mainland and friends locally to meet here in Macau to enjoy and golf for charity. All prizes of the Joyous Charity Tournament would be donated to charitable activities in Macau to make this event more meaningfully.
The donation presentation ceremony was held during the Charity Dinner. MCC, represented by their President, Mr. Ma Iao-Lai and Sport and Olympic Committee of Macau China represented by Mr. Ma Iao-Hang, both received the donation funds. Mr. Liu Chak-Wan, Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice President of MCC, donated MOP500,000 to the Zhang Lianwei Sports Development Fund. The atmosphere of the Charity Dinner has been lively, merry and peaceful and fully demonstrated the fine humanism value of the residents of Macau for charity and social welfare.




This charitable event has also been supported and co-organized by the Macau Sport Development Board, the Sport and Olympic Committee of Macau China, the Golf Association of Macau, the Zhang Lianwei Sports Development Fund, Mr. Liu Chak-Wan and China Taiping Insurance (Macau) Limited.
