Service Description
For any beneficiary (“Beneficiary”) holding a paper-format Bank Guarantee or Standby Letter of Credit (hereinafter referred to “BG/SBLC”) issued by Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch (our “Bank”), we provide authenticity verification service upon request.
Application Method
1.The Beneficiary may send an authenticated SWIFT message to our Bank (SWIFT ID: BKCHSGSG) through their corporate account bank to request for verification. The SWIFT message should include BG/SBLC reference number, issuing institution, amount, number of pages etc.
Note: Providing sufficient information is essential for an accurate authentication result.
2.The Beneficiary may appoint an authorised representative to submit the original BG/SBLC for verification at our Bank counter. The representative must present a valid identity document and the authorisation letter.

Notification Method for Verification Results
1.For verification request via SWIFT from the Beneficiary’s account bank, our Bank will respond with an authenticated SWIFT message within 5 working days upon receipt of SWIFT request message.
2.For verification request submitted at our Bank’s counter, we will issue a verification result letter signed by two authorised staff. The letter will be provided over the counter or sent to the Beneficiary by registered mail or courier service.
Important Note: Our Bank will not verify the authenticity of paper-format BG/SBLC issued by our Bank through staff personal emails or verbally.
