Product Description
Through Bank of China (UK) Limited, you can also transfer money to destinations outside the UK.
- on the same day via Express Remittance, or
- within 3 working days via Ordinary Remittance
The length of time for payments to arrive at their destinations may vary and depend on the locations as well as the recipient’s bank. Payments within the UK and European Economic Area (EEA) will normally arrive in the payee’s account within one (1) business day and at latest by the end of the following business day. Payments to countries outside the EEA are likely to take longer.
Application Procedures
You can make transfers at our branches or via Internet Banking if you hold a Bank of China (UK) Limited account..
Required Information
You need to provide the following information for money transfers:
1. Your proof of identity and address (e.g. Passport and utility bill) (Applicable only to counter service in branches).
2. Beneficiary’s name and address.
3. Beneficiary’s IBAN Number.
4. Name and address of beneficiary’s bank.
5. Beneficiary’s bank SWIFT code.
6. The amount to be paid.
7. Payment currency.

Your instruction is required before the cut-off time, which is normally 12:00pm noon but does vary for different currencies. The information on timeframes is for guidance only as processing times may vary in practice.
