Days ago, Global Finance magazine announced the results of its "Best Emerging Market Banks 2004-Asia" rating, in which Bank of China was awarded "Best Bank in China". Details will be published in the May 2004 issue.
According to Global Finance magazine, the award resulted from a comprehensive survey with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants, and at last, magazine editors picked the best emerging market bank in the region and in 14 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products. Months before, Bank of China had been awarded "Best Trade Finance Bank in China 2004", "Best Foreign Exchange Bank in China 2004", and the results were separately printed in the 2004 February and March issues.
