On October 31, Bank of China spokesman Wang Zhaowen made a statement regarding some media report on Bank of China’s introduction of foreign investments.
He said: “we have noticed the report regarding the introduction of foreign investments by Bank of China. Bank of China has always made it clear that the transactions are pending government and relevant authorities’ approval in its announcements of strategic cooperation with foreign investors. At present, the approval procedure is proceeding in the normal way. We have no comment to make on the report so far. Bank of China will deepen its internal reform in accordance with laws and regulations.”
