On May 8, President Xiao Gang, Chief Corporate Banking Officer Zhao Shigang, Chief Personal Banking Officer Yue Yi and persons-in-chief from the Office, Olympic Affairs Office, Bankcard Center, IT Department, and Information Center conducted a survey at Beijing Branch.
Accompanied by Dong Jianyue, President of Beijing Branch, President Xiao visited Banking office at 1F of the new Beijing Branch Tower and was debriefed the preparation for Olympic financial services. With the experience from “Good Luck Beijing” Test Events, Beijing Branch made a detailed report on its implementation and problems on Olympic financial services preparation, including personnel training, outlet construction and refurnishing, electronic devices equipping, etc. The report reviewed the progress since planning of Olympic financial service project at 2006, as well as leadership enhancement, logistics, outlet construction, staffing and IT preparation, and the experience from” Good luck Beijing”, etc. Problems were also put forward in the hope of assistance from the head office.
XU Chen, General Manager of Olympic Affairs Office and Che Jun, General Manager of the Bankcard Center also reported on progress of overall Olympic-related work and bankcard services respectively.
After the report was a heated discussion on specific questions concerning Olympic financial service preparation and Q&A section. President Xiao affirmed Beijing Branch’s efforts and progress, saying head office would do its best to support Beijing Branch to provide quality financial services for the Olympic Games.
