The 2005 World Broadcaster Briefing for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was held from September 21 to 23 in Beijing. More than 40 delegates from eight of the Broadcasting Unions, Pools and some other major networks holding the rights for the 2008 Olympiad attended the conference which was jointly organized by BOCOG and BOB. During the Briefing, BOCOG made presentations to broadcasters on venue planning, competition schedules, transportation, accommodation, image and look, as well as media operations.
Upon BOCOG’s invitation, Bank of China, China Mobile and China Network Communications also attended the meeting as representatives of the Partners. BOC Beijing Branch attached great importance to the conference, sending a professional service team and putting up a stand outside of the conference hall to provide on-site consultations of banking services. Leaflets with BOC product and service introductions were also prepared. These efforts and services won great applause from the organizers as well as the broadcasters.
