Bank of China’s 2008 Annual Report won Gold award in the overall category of the LACP (League of American Communications Professionals) annual report competition. In addition, it was awarded Gold in the banking category and as best financial report. The Bank’s 2008 annual report also received awards in the US ARC (Annual Report Competition) Awards in different categories. It is a continued glory for the Bank’s annual report following its success in 2006 and 2007.
The Bank endeavors to improve the disclosure quality of its periodic reports, aiming to enhance the investors’ awareness of the Bank’s development in finance, operation and corporate governance, while ensuring timeliness, fairness, truthfulness, accuracy and completeness. As a socially responsible corporate citizen, the Bank conserved and used environmental friendly paper for the printing of the annual report.
LACP (League of American Communications Professionals) is a world-famous marketing consultancy. Its annual report competition is known as the Olympics of the Annual Report. There are more than 3,500 entries from 20 countries in this year’s competition, ranging from industries of manufacturing, aviation, telecommunications and financial services.
The US ARC (Annual Report Competition) Awards are an annual report competition organized by the New York-based company MerComm. Inc. The competition attracts entries from world famous companies every year. More than 1,800 companies from 25 countries competed in this year’s event。
