Bank of China recently launched BOC Ji Fu phases 24 and 25, 2011, the first batch of wealth management products exclusively available via online banking.
The expected rate of return of the products is 5.1%, higher than those sold over the counter with the same structure in the same category. The product requires a minimum subscription amount of RMB 50,000, with subscription period from June 16 to 21, 2011 and the investment term of 125 days.
The bank will reportedly continue introducing other wealth management products available exclusively through online banking. Customers may visit BOCNET at http://www.boc.cn for details. The products marked with "online banking exclusive" under the Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I are available to customers only by online banking and will have a higher expected return than those sold over the counter.
