
On August 17, Bank of China signed a comprehensive business cooperation agreement with Huishang Bank in Beijing. Chen Siqing, Vice President of Bank of China, and Wang Xiaoxin, Chairman of Huishang Bank participated in the signing ceremony.
Founded on December 28, 2005, Huishang Bank is China's first-ever regional joint-equity bank jointly founded by city commercial banks and urban credit cooperatives. Huishang Bank has achieved good operating performance since its establishment, with a leading development speed and quality among its peers. It becomes China's first city commercial bank which has the outlet presence throughout Anhui province.
As the only bank with 100-year continuous operation in China, Bank of China is the most internationalized commercial bank in China, with 711 operating institutions in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and 31 countries and regions. Drawing upon its all-around financial service platform, Bank of China can provide the comprehensive financial services in the aspects of commercial banks, investment banks, insurance, assets management and so on.
According to the agreement, Bank of China will cooperate with Huishang Bank in the assets, liabilities, intermediary business, personnel training, business management, exchange of information and other business areas. The two parties will carry out positive business cooperation and continuous innovation for financial products and services on the principle of mutual support, shared advantages, equality, mutual benefit and common development. The establishment of the partnership will provide better, more efficient and comprehensive financial services for the customers of the two parties.
