On August 15, Bank of China (BOC) and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government jointly delivered "Forum & Signing Ceremony on BOC Serving Chongqing Inland Opening-up " in Chongqing. Huang Qifan, mayor of Chongqing; Xiao Gang, chairman of BOC and Chen Siqing, vice executive president of BOC, as well as heads of government institutions and over 100 enterprises were present.
During the forum, attendees exchanged ideas on bank-government-enterprise cooperation in Chongqing's inland opening-up and construction and financial services for the "Go Global" of private enterprises. The head office, Chongqing Branch and Taipei Branch of BOC and BOC International (China) signed memorandums and agreements on several business cooperation areas with the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, the Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Chongqing-Taiwan Economic and Informatization Exchange Association and 20 key enterprises. The bank-government-enterprise cooperation will promote Chongqing to be an inland highland for opening-up and a financial center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
