On October 25, an official of Bank of China (BOC) expressed in an interview with respect to the media reports of “Families of Victims of Israeli Campus Shooting File Suits against Bank of China” that, BOC had seen the reports and there were no factual grounds for the charges cited in the reports.
The official pointed out that BOC strictly follows UN regulations of anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing as well as laws in China and other jurisdictions in which the Bank operates all the time. BOC strictly bans any kind of financial services for any terrorist groups.
The official said that BOC had not received any lawsuit file mentioned in relevant reports at that time.
