Recently, BOC has, in association with Egypt’s Commercial International Bank (CIB), opened a Chinese business desk in Cairo, capital of Egypt, to offer Chinese and local enterprises financial services such as investment consultation, international settlement, account opening and project loan, thereby promoting the further development of China-Egypt economic and trade investment. The desk is BOC's 8th of its kind abroad.
Chinese business desk is BOC’s innovative mode of expanding its global service network. In countries and regions where BOC’s business branches are absent, BOC provides financial support to Chinese enterprises and individuals abroad and foreign enterprises by employing its rich correspondent bank resources abroad, sending staff to these banks and utilizing their business platforms. To date, BOC has opened Chinese business desks in Oman, Ghana, Peru, Chile, Turkey, Finland and Uganda.
