May the Chinese New Year of the Horse bring you fortune and happiness! February 2 (UK time), the third day of the lunar year, witnessed the staging of the Chinese New Year celebration in London. Around 300,000 tourists from all over the world and distinguished guests from all walks of life attended this grand event, and jointly celebrated the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year, among which were the Chinese Ambassador to the UK, Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Mayor of London, Ms. Victoria Borwick, representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises in the UK and the London Chinatown Chamber of Commerce.
This yearly event is the largest-scale Chinese New Year celebration in Europe, and BOC has been its sponsor for 13 consecutive years. This year's celebration was filled with strong festive atmosphere, as the employees of BOC London Branch dressed themselves up as the "God of Wealth", handing out lucky red envelopes to the spectators along with the New Year blessings. Artists from China delivered excellent artistic and acrobatic performances. Traditional dragon and lion dances, in particular, won rapturous applauses.

On the third day of the lunar New Year, the yearly Chinese New Year Celebration was staged in the Trafalgar Square of London.
