Lately, BOC won the "Best Credit Card Award of the Year" at the "China Banking Development Forum 2014 & Award Ceremony for the 2nd Banking Industry Ranking Event", sponsored by sina.com.cn.
In recent years, centering on its objective of "Serving Society, Delivering Excellence", BOC has implemented the domestic and overseas integrated development strategy, and extensively carried out credit card business in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan region, as well as many countries. In 2013, BOC issued 8.13 million credit cards, with incremental valid cards hitting 41.90 million in total; credit card consumption volume exceeded one trillion yuan; cross-border consumption volume came out at the top, with year-on-year increase rate ranked first.
Meanwhile, BOC has committed itself to establish a comprehensive bonus point system and value-added service system with high returns; provided clients with online and offline integrated, convenient and innovative payment channels by making full use of innovative means based on the mobile internet; launched consumer financial services spanning such sectors as automobile, home decoration, education and tourism; rolled out all-currency international chip cards and exempted the 1.5% cross-border transaction fee, being the first to do so among its peers; continuously enriched its "Global Splendor in One Card" series cross-border marketing events; and gradually established a comprehensive services system that covers mid- and high-end clients as well as ordinary customers both at home and abroad, and meets their diverse payment needs.
In the future, BOC will accelerate product innovation, and continuously diversify and optimize its credit card product and service system, striving to offer the best payment service and become the favorite credit card brand among clients.
